I love MCoG.  Ever since it was on ABC (Australia) since I was a kid.  I have recently managed to get all 39 episodes in RM format.

Hello.  I'm 13 1/2 years old.  I've never seen this show, but it looks really, really cool.  I think Esteban is hot.  I'm a fan of other animes (digimon, hamtaro, etc).  I would like to see this on television sometime.

596.  Daryl Stewart
This was my very first venture into the world of anime.  I loved it when I was 11 and I love it now at 25.  Its sad the sequel doesn't appear to be moving forward.  I really want to make a game of this to open more minds up to the world of MCOG!

593.  Emily
I'm so excited to know there are others who love MCoG as much as I do.  I saw them for the first time in Puerto Rico and I have only meet one other person who actually has seen the show.  What great memories! My sister and I used to fight on who got to be Zia for the day.

592.  Andy H
I last saw this cartoon sometime in the mid-80's, I can't remember exactly when.  All I could remember was that it was amazing though.

591.  erik f
hi, just wanted to mention that I always think of this series when I hear the song Jaguar by DJ Rolando A.KA the Aztec Mystic; pick it up and feel like a condor!

590.  erik f
oh my god, I always think of this show that I used to see on TCC in 1989 I think.  This is the greatest!

589.  Magnus
I am from Sweden and MCoG was aired back in 1989, I was 11 years at that time.  I never enjoyed Disney-movies after that, I loved the historical facts and the characters.  I think MCoG changed my life, for an exampel.  I start read history after that.

I live in Queensland, Australia and am 27yrs old.  I remember watching MCOG on the ABC and can still remember it being the highlight of every weekday during the mid-eighties.  I am excited and relieved to see so many Aussie fans out there today.  I had forgotten how fantastic, ingenious and addictive this cartoon series is (despite the very catchy theme song that has haunted me to this very day!).  My young daughters will now have the pleasure of MCOG in their lives too! Thanks for the beautiful childhood memories -- MCOG forever!

586.  Marcus
The best animated series ever created by man.

Greetings from Sweden

i've been haunted by the memories of three mythical heroes gallabashing across the andies mountains ever since i was a little kid picking my nose in front of the tv c.  1987, detroit mi.  finally i did a computer search only to rediscover The Mysterious Cities of Gold and all her glory.  thank you so much for giving me back a missing piece.

580.  Kelly (http://www.freewebs.com/stuffilike/mcog.htm)
I was (and am) so impressed with this show.  It's one of those things that you can become obsessed with.  I just showed it to my younger sister, and she loves it now too.  If anyone would like the entire series in English on VCD (playable on your computer or on most DVD players) visit the web page shown next to my name.

579.  Howard

576.  Runechild (http://www.gryffindortower.net)
Having grown up with this program, this site really does bring back memories.

It used to be a nightly ritual; coming in from school, wolfing down a quick tea in front of the telly before the Mysterious Cities of Gold came on.  I'm still looking for the downloads of all the episodes, having 1-7 so far, but I will eventually end up with all of them.

I suppose it could be said that this kind of obsession is rather sad for a 25 year old lawyer, but this just goes to show the enduring legacy of this series.

Rune.

575.  Lisa and Jon
Why don't they make kids programmes like Mysterious Cities of Gold anymore? (Too incredible to compete with I guess!) Every time we watch an episode I want to cry buckets!! I (Lisa) am only 21, but have already decided that when I eventually have kids they WILL watch our vids of it (and naturally, they will resemble Esteban (I LOVE HIM!) and Zia)!! Me and Jon say a big hello to all the other MCOG fans out there, hope you enjoy watching it as much as we do.  ^_^
P.S.  How ace is Mendoza's flappy cape??!!

574.  frederick c moore
I've been wondering if i could ever find anyone who has even at least rememberd the series.  It was so exciting to find this site and see so many fans that are out there.  The Mysterious Cities Of Gold is brilliant.  A cartoon show that showcases native Mesoamerican culture is a real jem.  I am greatful to have been born in 1980 and was old enough to enjoy such a killer cartoon.

573.  Will Pryn
Mcog, was truly a source of inspiration for me during my childhood and i still flutter in my stomach when i think of how excited i used to be when the theme music would start playing- telling me that my fav show in the world ever was beginning! They dont make 'em like that any more!

572.  Naridu (http://www.geocities.com/naridu)
I'm 22 from australia, and here too the quality of afternoon children's programs has fallen to appalling.  There is the harry potter look alike 'the very worst witch', and hmmm, Albert, the 5th muskateer.  *sigh* bring back MCOG!!!

everyone I talk to seems to hold a special place in their heart for this wonderful series.  I'd love to see it's return so It can be shared with a new generation.

Devoted servant of mcog

The Mysterious Cities Of Gold was my favorite show growing up.  I just lately came across the idea of looking it up on the internet.  I was surprised but also excited to know that there are so many people out there that, like me, watched and loved the show.  Thanks!

568.  Simon
This site rules.  Not also does MCoG rule, it had the best theme tune (along with Dogtanian)

567.  Liban
Wow, I never knew this show was so popular.  I used to watch it every day in Sweden, thanks to "The Childrens Channel".  I feel sorry for children today, missing out on great cartoon shows like MCOG, Dungeons & Dragons and Ulyssis 31.  This show holds a great piece of my heart and I hope they'll release a DVD verson of the cartoon.

566.  Brian Winters
HI I'm 20 years old from massachusetts and growing up I aspired to be just like Estaban now I study ancient culture and technology I have never met anyone who knew the series in person so you can guess how excited I was to find this site I still have all my videos from when I was younger and would be happy to share with anyone who asks.

565.  Roundy

564.  Lena Patel

562.  Staino
Hi, I'm from Belgium and the mCoG changed my life

561.  Raphael Sylvester
What a show!! I still have the last episode on tape and I nearly cry every time I watch it.  How fine is Zia? What a girl.  I say we occupy Parliament until they show a re-run, or alternatively write to the BBC in a firm, but polite manner.

560.  Mark Kasaroczky
I was originally born in Budapest Hungary in 1975, but have lived in the US since the early 80's , this is where I first saw MCOG on the nickelodeon network, back in 87 and 88.  I got to tell you, cartoons today pale in comparison to what was in the 1980's , when cartoons actually had good storylines.  (it's also the same with music for me, to me, real music stopped being made in 1990) some examples of my favorite childhood cartoons were the original Transformers, the real ghostbusters, muppet babies, dungeons and dragons, a few others, and of course, Mysterious cities of gold.

559.  Leah
I've been looking for years for other people who watched this show! How wonderful to find that it was not just a dream! We've got to get the series released again!

558.  Julie Wills
This programme is the best!!! i have searched for ages to find it again and then i discovered this website! so happy!!x.

557.  Matty C
Truely a great show.  I have all 39 episodes in english (avi format) regularly available via grokster (like napster) and it has a great resolution when played through Whisset media player.  If anyone is interested, I will gladly let you download them directly from me.  Seeing as there is still no english versions available, this is the only way we, the true fans of MCoG, will see it again.

556.  Dem Roshe
I came across this MCoG site by pure accident looking up something else.  I had no idea that people liked it this much as we did.  I remember watching it when I was younger mb 16 years ago now.  It was a great series and I used to rush home to see it.  If I ever ger married and have children I have to get the complete episodes so they can see it too..It really was a choice series like others of its day, inc Star Blazers and Robotech etc...peace all ..out p.s.  we should have a MCoG convention down here in Australia:)

555.  Kevin Barmann
greatest show ever

554.  Zeen (http://members.aol.com/zeen1987/MCOG.html)
The Mysterious Cities of Gold was and still is my most favourite cartoon ever! I first watched it when I was like 4 years old! and I still remember it, I am now 15, and me and my older sister love it to bits!

552.  Anthony Roddy
A classic.  Nothing quite compares to the linear storyline and classic animation.  Only slightly better than Ulysses 31 though.

551.  emma canvin
