I've been wondering around on the internet trying to find a program I loved as a child. I'm not certain of the title, maybe Bell and Sebastian? Anyone know where I could find these tapes?

546.  NATALIE
TAO IS THE BEST.  I WATCHED THE SHOW WHEN I WAS LITTLE.  MY FRIENDS AND SISTERS AND I USED TO ACT OUT THE SHOW.  EVEN THOUGH I WAS A GIRL,I ALWAYS INSISTED I WAS TAO.  HE HAS A PERSONALITY SIMILAR TO MY OWN.  I WANTED TO BE TAO.  I STRONGLY IDENTIFIED WITH HIM.  TO THIS DAY, I AM STILL A LOT LIKE TAO.  WE ARE BOTH VERY INTELLIGENT AND HIGHLY SENSITIVE INDIVIDUALS.  I ADORE HIM AND ZIA DID'NT KNOW WHAT SHE COULD HAVE HAD.

i love this cartoon.  i'd forgotten all about it until a friend said something about it and all of a sudden the images and memories all came flooding back, and i couldn't beleive how it made me feel, it was like i was 5 years old all over again.  definitely the most amazing cartoon in the world.

542.  Alana
i'm 16 and my sistar is 19 and allthough i can't remember seeing the BRILLIANT series in TV we've enjoyed watching it over and over on video because my fantastic mum taped it.  I love it so much I even took it to primery school to watch it with my class.  I WISH it would come back on TV.

this show rocks, it was the highlight of my day at school, all i wanted to do was rush home in time to see esteban and co.  search for answers to all their secrets.  i will never forget this series and i hope to find somewhere to download the entire series, i have 11 of them but i refuse to watch them unless i have the next episode to watch right away as i hated the thought of waiting a whole week for the next episode, please contact me if you hear of a site with good quality avi files of the series...........cheers and respect to all who beleived in the magic that is "The mysterious cities of gold"

540.  Bradley Gibson
Ohh that mighty themesong.  Long live Esteban

539.  ambit
i was born in 1981.  I must have been about 5 years old when MCOG first came on television. I just used to be in absolute awe of esteban.  I would always be in front of the tv 10 minutes before the show started in case i missed anything.  The theme tune still sends me into a trance now.

As a freelance journalist im hoping to give MCOG some publicity in various UK magazines. Anyone who has genuine information that could help me research this then please let me know.  I am particularly interested in the futuristic/aliens angle.  thanks!

538.  Rascal
I want the english DVD

537.  Marshall
As a child my abolute devotion to MCoG, The Little Prince, Spartakus and Sebastian was undeniable.  Bring back the cartoons that told really engrossing stories without the mecha and other macho do-dads!

531.  Jo Howe
Just had to add my name to this list of discerning people.  MCoG is easily the best cartoon of the 80s, if not of all time.  The music alone was classic, but the style and atmosphere of the artwork made it pure genius.  MCoG should be re-released in the UK!! Now! If they can do it for Battle of the Planets, why not the Cities? It was a much better animation.

I AM 24 AND LIVE IN INDIANA AND REMEMBER THE "CHILDREN OF THE SUN", AS IT WAS CALLED IN MY AREA, VIVIDLY.  IT WAS MY FAVORITE SHOW WHEN I WAS YOUNG.  I CAN'T REMEMBER HOW OLD I WAS WHEN IT AIRED ON NICKELODEON BUT I WAS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 9 AND 11.  PERHAPS EVEN YOUNGER.  I WAS VERY EXCITED WHEN THEY FOUND THE GOLDEN CONDOR AND I WAS CRUSHED WHEN THE SERIES WAS ALL OF THE SUDDEN AXED FROM NICK.  ANYONE ELSE REMEBER THE CARTOON SPARTACUS? IT ALSO WAS EXCELLENT!!!!!! EMAIL ME PLEASE.

526.  Hung Pham

I'm 19 and for years I have lived with images of golden condors and medallions, but could never remember the name of the cartoon.  Well now i know! Mysterious Cities of Gold! When i found this site i was overcome with a curious mix of nostalgia and great excitement..  I now feel as if i've found a missing piece to the puzzle that is my life.  Never will i forget this show again.  Lets all hope the tv networks put this back on air..  if not for our sake, than the sake of the kids today.

516.  Glen Powell
this strange memory of a brilliant and wonderful cartoon has been haunting me during the last decade of my life and I have been waiting for it to come back into my life.  I couldn't even remember it's name but then I remembered that you can find anything on the net so here I am.  I call this fate.

515.  Lasse
I love when Esteban and Tao and Zia enters the condor.  Because you see the sun shines on the condor, and you see Estebans determined look with a glimt in his eye!

514.  tahrey (http://www.angelfire.com/rant/ravey/)
Hmmm getting it back in the shops.  I'm just waiting for home-machine compatible DVD writers to hit around the £200 mark...  (the DVDR discs themselves are already starting to become incredibly affordable) then, if anyone can hook me up with some good quality english audio..  I'll get hold of the french DVD..  already got all the appropriate software (done a few cleanup jobs on my DivX copies for VCD:D) - or maybe I can sweet talk Tim into letting his MPG2s go (not bloody likely I think).

And then...

Operation Cartoon Evangelism/Altruism:D

Hi, all you tMCoG fans

it's great to see that after all this time so many people still love this master piece which is the greatest series I've ever seen (for more then 500 times I believe more or less)

The Mysterious Cities of Gold is the best show ever.  i remember watching them as a child, and loving it, I didn't miss an episode, and ever since then I've remembered them, and wanted to see the series again.  Finally I got hold of the vcds, and am enjoying every single episode....

510.  fiona
my hamster is named after esteban (after the one i love) tho looks he bares very little resemblance.  the theme tune is the coolest track in the world.

509.  Chris "Dale" Birkett (http://www.chris-birkett.co.uk)
Truly the best cartoon ever produced, the characters, the places, the music, the storyline; all of it beautifully brought together.

A very treasured memory from my childhood.  They simply don't make cartoons like it any more.  Best wishes to all MCoG fans out there!

508.  Stuart von Stein
I still remember this show was the highlights of my week day.  Can you believe it for the longest time I couldn't remember the title, in fact none of this stuff.  All I could remember was the golden bird.  So that's about it, if you need help finding episodes contact me.

507.  Michael Jenkin (http://www.mickyj.com/)
MCoG Rules.  There is no other comment needed.

506.  Ray Serville
MCOG had me hooked a good 16 years ago(can't remember exactly).  I found a link for the Eps in RM format and now all those lovely childhood memories are rushing back.  This series is better that any drug out there, I told a friend I had them and he went nutz.  I'm trying to get higher quality versions for my own archive and I suppose I'm not the only person who didn't get to see the end but now I can.

505.  Olivier C.
I am a French fan of the 'mysterieuse cités d'or'.  So glad to see that this incredible piece of art we all love has reached well beyond Europe.  The emotional impact it has upon me has not vanished with time.  It's available in French on DVDs.

I live in England, and was wondering whether you can you actually purchase these tapes in the shops, or is the only way to see the episodes, via internet?
