348. Kevin Elliott (http://www.phunc.com) I haven't seen this series in nearly 10 years! I remember
it in my childhood, and it is absolutely amazing to find
others who feel so strongly toward it like I do (must be
a mysterious fate for us all!). Cities of Gold has
enchanted me. I don't remember much of it anymore, and I
would love to get ahold of some tapes, vcds, mpegs, etc!
Please, let me know! Looking forward to hearing from
you guys
347. Alain Je me suis repassé toute la série le mois
dernier: il y a des épisodes que je n'avais pas vu
depuis 1983 ! Ce fut un réel plaisir. Cette série est
l'une des meilleure pour ne pas dire LA MEILLEURE !
346. Removed by author request
345. Joe Constantine Which do u think will get the most celebrations: New
Years Eve '99 or The release of MCoG on VHS.
344. jean marc beloulou I love the cities of gold since the age of 13 years old I
have done the travel of Esteban, Zia and Tao. I visisted
the cartoon's ruins and see all the place. I would like
know people how love this carton regards jean marc france
343. Chris Can the videos be bough in UK format ANYWHERE???
342. Jürgen De Waele Congratulations with this new site.Love your site! I'm
also busy with one , but I have some problems to publish
it on the net. The last few weeks I was working on a
MCoGCartoon. Rather good. So if you are interested I
could send you a copy of it. I began with episode 37 and
I already have 6 pages. I think it's ready at the end of
August. When I have the rest of the script I can make the
rest of MCoGCartoon. Bye
341. Stephen Gibson I love this show! I would love to own a copy of the
series.
340. Lynda this is a dream come true! I thought I was alone
in loving this cartoon - my friends just said 'sad'....!
339. Maery Snow (http://www.crosswinds.net/~japa_setsuna/) I'm actually a next generation fan -- I have a friend who
watched MCoG as a kid, but I had never heard of it until
about 2 years ago. I fell in love! The music, the
story...I know, I'm an outsider now because I'm not
original...
*sigh*
Maybe one day I'll
prove myself worthy..
(By-the-way, I'm 17 and
in the USA)
338. Kate I spent twelve years looking for people who'd seen this
cartoon and found no-one. I come to university and find
about three. I log on, and find you lot! My favorite
thing about the entire series was Esteban's unchanging
haircut, which must have been where the name
"flock-of-seagulls" originates. Bye
337. Andy Crockett Age:20 this is Great, I've been looking for a sight about MCOG
for a long time. This is truly one of the greatist
cartoon's ever. This show was a big part of my childhood
I hope it is put on cartoon network. Thanks to the people
who put up this site because without them we couldn't
enjoy the memories.
336. Marc Lamb this is the best animation ever and kicks the hell out of
anything that is being churned out these days...what is
the world coming to. What we need in this world today is
more Cities of Gold (huge bucket fulls to be exact) and a
healthy dose of Marylin Manson...don't you agree? [Hmm,
not sure about the Manson bit..! -Dan] Peace
out...looking toward the sun
335. Giovanni Waaawww, COOOOOL, YES!, YESSSS!, YEAZZZZZZ!!!, I can't
believe this... after 15 years this animated masterpiece
is more alive then ever before. I am very happy to know
that some people still love this series like I do...
and... well.. héhé... I'm still a big MCOG addict... at
the age of 25... May the force (grin) be with the
creators of the MCOG... Groetjes uit België(greetz from
belgium)
334. Bernadette Allen Wow. I've been looking for a page about MCOG for years,
under the mistaken impressionit was called "Children
of Gold." Stupid song has been in my head for years!
I thought I was the *ONLY* fan... I would stay glued to
the TV to see Belle & Sebastian, Mysterious Cities of
Gold, and the Little Prince (though I hated it). Now I
live in Atlanta and have never given up my pasttime of
Latin American history.:)
333. Laura Terry this is somewhat thrilling, not to be dramatic. "The
Mysterious Cities of Gold" is and always has been my
all-time favorite television series. I used to watch it
every day on Nickelodeon, and now...at 18...obtaining a
collection of as many episodes as possible means more to
me than you can imagine. At least, I thought that no one
could understand. After reading what you all have to say,
I realize this series has touched so many people in the
same way it touched me. I'm sure, by now, I've sent many
of you an email begging for copies of the series on
American VHS or VHS compatible tapes, but if anyone has a
means to make me a copy, I would be willing to compensate
you by any means necessary. When I came onto this
website, I experienced the same emotions as many of you
did...only I didn't almost cry. I cried. It was the
music, the images...everything. Anyway, I'm going to stop
now. I'm sure my extreme nostalgia is scaring at least
someone. And if any of you would be willing to help me
obtain "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" on
American VHS tapes, I would be completely beyond
eternally grateful.
332. Greta Zimowska (http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/9868/) Wow! This site brought tears to my eyes. Let me tell you,
I screamed at the top of my lungs when I saw all the
pictures of this wonderful show. I'm almost 22 now and I
remember being in 4th grade and running home after school
to watch MCoG on Nickelodeon. I think it's this show that
made me want to study history and archaeology. I feel
sorry for young kids today and the idiotic things they
have to watch. At least with this cartoon, you learned
something. If ANYONE, I mean ANYONE has tapes, please let
me know.
331. Christian Andersson Hi! I seem to be the only swedish fan of this series. I
used to watch MCoG when it was aired on the swedish
cabel-network 10 years ago and I really worshipped it.
Just a few days ago I found two episodes that I'd
recorded and watching them was really a nostalgia trip.
Afterwards I immediatly went searching on the net for
something about this series and found this excellent
page. IF ANYONE HAS EPISODES, IN SWEDISH OR ENGLISH ON
VIDEOTAPE, MAIL ME!!!!!!
330. W. Nick Zarvis The magic of this cartoon may be stranger than most fans
realize...ever wonder why the mystery pulls you in so
deeply? Keep your eyes and ears open for futher
archeological findings. You won't be dissapointed.
329. Yann Je suis Français, et j'adore les cités d'or. Je
remercie vraiment les créateurs de sites comme celui-ci
et je peux correspondre ... de préférence en Français
avec d'autres fans... A bientôt
328. Josie I love your site. I'm just so happy to find it!! I
absolutely love MCoG. I watched it all the time
afterschool on Nickelodeon when I was little. I so wish
they would air it again on tv. I know my younger siblings
would enjoy it as much as I would. Thanx for everything -
the memories and all
327. George Xavier You know, I just started looking for a website for this
cartoon today, and it practically brought a tear to my
eye on the number of people that love this cartoon as
much as I do. It inspired me in many of the things I have
done in my life and will always be a work of art that
will stay in my heart forever.
326. Katey (18, South Dakota) Hiya!! My memory of this show has become more and more
vague over the years. Your page revived many memories of
it. WOW!! The things I have forgotten (how could I forget
the golden condor?!?--and I still don't remeber the bad
guys too well--:) I hang my head in shame) I never
forgot the main characters (well, I remembered what they
looked like --did forget names though) I NEVER forgot
those medallions!!:) I also never forgot the theme song!
Delightful page--excellent job!!-Love those pics! Thanks
for bringing back a bitty piece of my childhood!
325. Katarina de La Fere this is the best cartoon ever produced! I
am now 23 years old and I rememeber the times when my
sisters and I would run home to listen the show. As
little gilrs we like Esteban and Zia the best( now I
think she is too soft), but I had an opportunity to see
the show again at the age of 15 in Montreal and Tao and
Mendoza where then my favorite caracters. What amazed me
when I look back is the complexity of the plot and still
as children we followed every bit of it, or at least try.
The caracters themselves evolved as the story unfolded.
Who would have guess that Mendoza, a selfish spaniard,
would actually get attached to these children. And how
many historical references! The ones that created this
carton had such imagination. Todays cartoon cannot even
dream to attain that kind of level. I remember once my
sisters and I being bored in the car (I must have been
10) and we started a game: who would remember the most
tunes from the cities of gold would win! We taped some of
them, mostly the middle part, all in french for my little
brother (10 years younger than I am) and he loves the
serie as much as I do! It is so nice to know that there
are other Mysterieuses Citees D'or fans out there! It
really developped our imagination and changed our outlook
on life.
324. Jason Jaynes My name is Jason Jaynes and I am a computer consultant in
Minnesota. The MCOG is my favorite animated series. I
have all of the episodes and have made my own music cd
with samples taken off of the net. I prefer the gold
medallion image.
323. Jan
'Avatar' Kozlowski (http://www.avatar.toys.com.pl) Hi! I live in Warsaw, in Poland. I saw MCoG first time
some yerars ago and since this time I'm a big fan of it.
322. Chris Walton My congratulations on such an amazing site . It's cool to
see there are so many people out there throughout the
world who remember this show as fondly as I do ! I cannot
remember how old I was when I watched MCoG but it was a
small highlight of my very young life at the time
321. Matt
Whitehead Here is my MCoG Poem: Cities of Gold is really good, I
like it very much, Esteban is my hero in the condor he
swoops, Please bring it back BBC, Oh please, please
please, Then we will accept an increased license feeeee!!
Pretty lame, eh? I hear that the new Dreamworks SKG animated feature is
called something like The Lost Road To Eldorado. Could it
be...
320. ANJUM RAZAQ this has to be the greatest cartoon ever produced. My
name is Anjum and when I saw the interest on the MCoG I
was surprised that anyone still remembers it. What say we
try and get a general release of the series as I
DESPERATELY WANT THE VIDEOS. C-ya!!
319. Larry D. Weeden Jr I am 24, soon to be 25 and I am really, happy to find I
am not the only one who grew up on the MCoG! My wife and
I are expecting a baby boy, I think it would be great to
pass on such an informative, exciting, and mysterious
adventure! Please feel free to email me anything about
MCoG, especially pertaining to VCR tapes etc.! Nos Vamos!

318. Jade Hi, Im 18 yo, from Australia, and Im astounded to find a
webpage dedicated to the MCoG show. I was 8/10 yrs old
when I first viewed it, and remember being sadden when
the show ended. Keep up the good work. The legendary show
will live on with sites such as yours.:)
317. Kevin Castiglia I loved The Mysterious Cities of Gold when I was a child. I was obsessed with it. I taped all the episodes, but one day my parents taped over them:( I have only 1 episode left...the one when they crash-land in the rainforest. I held on to this one after I fond that the rest of them were gone. I miss them so much now, but I will always have this one episode to remind me of my childhood. I just miss seeing the whole series so much now... Bring Back The Mysterious Cities of Gold, or at least relaese them to VHS in America!! -Kevin Castiglia (Silent_G)
316. Lou, Charl & Nick Long live Cities of Gold! Thanx so much for a great web
page. This is the only thing that makes lunchtimes
interesting at sixth form. Stay chilled and dedicated.
315. Graeme Buck I was born in 1977 and raised on MCoG and the other old
greats. I study maths at QMW University of London, and
life in north Kent. I watched MCoG the last two times
that the BBC showed it, and would kill to get my hands on
a copy of the whole thing. Modern cartoons just don't
have the same style or quality that was around in the
1980's, and I would like to see more of the older (and
much better) series re-screened. Kids these days are
missing out
314. Zorrito61 I was astounded to see that so many people loved this
show. It's one of my best memories from when I was a kid.
I'm now 25 and would love to meet other fans,so if you
wanna e-mail me,I'll be glad to respond. Great site
313. Julius (http://home.nordnet.fr/~vmarzin/KideformClub.shtml) Hi, I'm french and I was watching cities
of gold when I was younger...It is, for me, the best show
ever made... I really thank you Daniel Slatford for
making a so huge site! It's really cool for the fans we
are! If you want to send me a mail about the mysterious
cities of gold, don't hesitate....
312. Nathan Bryant Hey, love the page. Great to see all the MCoG sites on
the web! My brother (28) and I (17) loved the show when
it originally aired. But haven't seen or heard anything
about it where we live *Jeffersonville, IN USA* since the
show went off the air. But we've been
"searching" for anything on the cities of gold.
I finally found some web pages like this recently and I
love them. If anyone knows a way for me to get any *but
hopefully all* of the episodes. *PLEASE* e-mail me at
nate@wakefire.com Also e-mail me with any new info or web
pages you find. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH
311. Dark (http://dark.simplenet.com) I watched the MCoG when I was quite young on Nickelodeon
and I never did get to see the end. The cartoon was quite
good and I hope someday it'll be brought back to TV for
re-broadcast.
310. Bernhard Ernst (http://members.xoom.com/bkernst/) I live in Cape Town, South Africa, I am a programmer and

time since I saw MCoG last and since having found this
site I want to watch the series all over again even more
than before.
307. Darcy I remember watching this show on Nick when I was a little
kid. It was the best! To this day I've only found one
person that remembered it.
306. Ronya Fullerton (www.worldzone.net/ss/ronyafaith) Yippee! The MCoG has its own webring! I haven't seen this
series in 8 years, and I still remember it. It made a
veritable impact on my life. Thanks to everyone who helps

Scully. I watched tMCoG when I was around the same age of
Esteban, Zia, & Tao! Now I'm 24 (as of Dec.'98). I
had nearly forgotten the series, until I recently found
my tapes of tMCoG episodes (that I taped off Nickelodeon
years ago) for my nephew to watch. Now, he is hooked. My
fav characters was, & always will be, Zia &
Mendoza! I LOVE the Golden Condor, too! I always dreamed
that one I would be filthy rich & have my own Golden

tapes from when it was shown here, nearly 10 years ago.

history was in the MCoG. I am so thrilled to find all you
hundreds of likeminded fans on the net, and all those
superb sites. Who would have thought it
