Why is a guy using Zia for a picture? I was absolutely obsessed with her, as I'm sure many of you of MCoG fans are. I consider this cartoon to be a defining moment of my youth. I would have been about ten when I saw it in Brisbane(Aus), coming to this web-page brings back so many memories.

I love CoG! I watched it Nickelodeon as a kid and was very upset to see them take it off the air. My friends and I had a CoG club and we would run around the playground singing...."ahhhh cities of gold"!

I was born in '80, and I used to watch alot of Nick, and really liked Mysterious Cities of Gold, Little Prince, 2 seperate Koala shows, that I can't remember, and abunch of other stuff. I have been looking for this series for 4 years, I didn't even remember the name, 'till I asked a friend if he remembered the show a couple days back. What I really want is some copies of the shows, if you have any, PLEASE CONTACT ME!! Ever since I was eleven and watched the 1990 re-runs on CBBC i've been searching for some information on the series, me and about twenty could remember the beginning and the end, but not all the characters nor the middle episodes (all the trouble the kids frequently got into). this is such a cool site. Hi, I'm Andrew; I was born in 1978 (makes me 20 as of 1998!), and I watched MCoG from the very first episode, when it aired on the BBC. I love the series, and am going to try and dig out some of my old tapes - I think I've got at least 5 episodes on tape, with a lot of other series from the time such as Ulysses 31 (which was also great! =) It brings back such memories even thinking about the series, so I'm glad there are as many people feel the same about it as I do.

this site blew me away-like mCoG! Saw the series on BBC in 86 and 89 when I was 11 and 14, and Im with Nick on this one-the eighties cartoons ruled! I remembered just the theme song too. I barely remember some the episodes, but the characters ate still embedded on my mind. I'm a big fan of any old shows like thundercats, voltron, and does anyone ever know what happened to bananaman? Anyway, I found one way to watch an episode of MCoG. If you are ever in NYC, go to the Museum of Radio and Television. They have one episode that you can view their. Unfortunately, they don't have the video to buy. However, it's still great to watch an old episode again.

I was born in 1980, and watched several shows on Nickolodean in the 80's. Mysterious Cities of Gold was my favorite, and I remember watching every episode faithfully. I also watched a show about Arcadia (not sure if that's the title or not). Just hearing the theme again brought memories back.

I watched MCOG when it was on the BBC in 1986. The best bit was right at the end when they were attacking the Ulmecs with the siege towers. The battles were truly epic, thet wists to the plot were exciting, and the characters were all cool. Weyna and Kecha were my favourite characters but when they were not around I liked Mendoza. MCOG shaped my life. The theme music is still in my head!

Sometimes strange things happen... Like I suddenly remembered watching this show ages ago, and how cool it was, and the fact that I hadn't seen it for at leat 10 years! I live in Epsom, UK, and was born 1981, so it must have been 10-11 years since I watched this last! I must obtain copies! I played the theme song to people at school, and about 7/10 people remembered it, and they all agreed that it was very cool.

Man, talk about the stuff you haven't seen in years. I'm an Aussie, 19 and going to uni in CQU in Rocky, I haven't seen that stuff since the early eighties when I was a young tucker. The good old ABC screened it and bloody hell its been a while since they did. I would like to major in archology but at the moment some engineering. What's to say? 17 year old high school student who was just told recently that someone he knew had the entire series on long play video cassettes. Having not seen the show in 8 years all the memories came flooding back. Although I am sure I remember Estiban's voice being deeper. It would seem they didn't actually get a grown woman to do a pre-pubescent boy's voice this time.

I was born in 1979 and am now doing an archaeology degree at uni. MCOG certainly inspired me from an early age. I remember it as being the most amazing set of programs I saw as a kid. The storyline and cinematics were incredible for a kids cartoon series. Everyone my age who I know remembers MCOG and I wish it would be shown again.

Wahey! I was always convinced that Mysterious Cities Of Gold was a terrific programme, infinitely superior to 'Ulysses 31' or what-have-you. I remember it on Children's BBC and programming my computer to play the (brilliant) theme tune. The solar-powered condor was especially fine.
